Lower School (K-8)

Enriched learning environments for students ages 5-14

衔接学校’s Lower School program (LSP) is for students with special needs ages 5-14. Our LSP creates an environment for effective skill development, with support of the school-wide Positive Behavior program, social skills instruction, 和 “push-in” support from related services.

课程

衔接学校’s Lower School program takes a unique approach to instructional strategies while using a research-based social skills curriculum that is used across all subject areas. The lower School’s educational program follows the Pennsylvania Common Core st和ards of English/Language Arts, 数学, 社会研究, 科学, Health 和 Physical Education, Arts 和 Humanities, 阀杆 activities 和 Technical Education through adapting content 和 presentation that meets each student’s academic goals.

干教育

All students at 衔接学校 have access to our Innovation Center supporting our 阀杆 programming. We also provide immersive technology that enables all students to utilize netbooks, 平板电脑, “smart” interactive whiteboards, 和 online programs that support our in-class curriculum.

The 阀杆 program in our Lower School encourages students to explore their passions using 阀杆 和 “Design Thinking”  to support real-world learning. We encourage our students to get involved in robotics, our morning school broadcast “Pathway Today”, 的电子竞技, 3D printing 和 other 阀杆 activities that Pathway offers. Our 阀杆 program for our Lower School gives the students the opportunity to create items for their classrooms, build race car Legos to learn about physics, 和 many more activities that encourage h和s-on 和 experiential learning.

Classroom Environment

Within a small classroom setting, teachers can focus on opportunities to implement 和 practice active learning 和 social awareness. Through individualized instruction, paced to address gaps in learning, accommodations are made to meet the needs of students with language delays, 运动规划, 和 processing difficulties.

Integrated 服务
